The creation of a website
Something I have done for many years
My first website many years ago cost me £4,000 and never worked to my satisfaction so I decided to learn to do it myself. Over the years I have created a number of sites using HTML and CSS and including WordPress and Joomla Content Management Systems (CMS).
To-day there are many more ways of creating a website but I still prefer simple HTML (HyperText Markup Language) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) for internet speed and easy maintenance.
I also use PHP, a self-referentially acronym for PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor. Original it supposedly meant personal home page. It is an open source, server-side, HTML embedded scripting language used to create dynamic Web pages.
Working From Home
Working from home in Eastleigh, Hampshire, allows me to keep costs down and to concentrate on the job that needs doing. I live in Chandlers Ford which is a district of Eastleigh in the county of Hampshire. My other interests include Christianity, fish keeping, which I have done since I was a boy and travelling David's Travel Guides when time and money allow.
Eastleigh Coach Trips is another venture I will be starting in April 2025 for the local community of Eastleigh in Hampshire. We will be offering day trips by coach from Eastleigh, including Chandlers Ford to various places of interest. Please visit the website for futher information.
I have maintained a charitable website for a mission hospital for a number of years. THE FRIENDS OF ST ANNE'S HOSPITAL LIULI - TO RELIEVE POVERTY, SICKNESS AND DISTRESS IN THE REGION OF RUVUMA, SOUTH WESTERN TANZANIA IN PARTICULAR BY THE PROVISION OF MEDICAL SUPPLIES FOR ST ANNE'S HOSPITAL, LIULI AND BY SUPPORTING OTHER CHARITABLE PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN BY THE SAID HOSPITAL.
